Call for Expressions of Interest

The leisure caravan has been with us for 120 years and over that time it has changed a great deal.

But as we enter the 21st century it will change even more, possibly out of all recognition.

As the world changes and our attitudes to environmental issues are heightened, the way we enjoy our leisure time changes and the technologies available to us change as well.

With this in mind and to celebrate their centenary year in 2007, The Caravan Club is looking for exciting concepts for "The Caravan of the Future".

The "Caravan of the Future" design concept competition is open to everyone, but will be of special interest to designers, students and caravanners, both individuals and teams/groups.

Your design could be a completely radical new approach to caravanning or a significant new development in current thinking.

Expressions of Interest are invited from any interested parties.

There's a prize of £20,000 for the winner, with the possibility of commercial production with all the potential that it implies, plus a further £5,000 to be shared at the judges' discretion between any other entries of particular merit.

In addition, a full size mock up of the winning entry will be displayed at the "National Boat, Caravan & Outdoor Show" at the NEC in Birmingham in Feb 2007.
